Well don't ever accuse us of being unresponsive to your input, dear readers, because starting with Korean manufacturer KTFT's Ever KTF-TR2000 mini "twist" phone, we solemnly swear to bring you every foreign model announced, released, or just sketched on a cocktail napkin, from here on out. As for the KTF-TR2000, it's a little smurf of a flip phone whose main claim to fame is the 1.9-inch screen that rotates 180 degrees to sit face-up when the phone is closed. Other goodies include a 1.3 megapixel cam, MP3 playback, and PC connectivity. Once again, we're sorry for the dearth of mobile info, and we're gonna do whatever it takes to make it right.

Thanks to the wonders of modern technology, criminals of all skill levels should be able to boil their carefully crafted ransom notes down to an SMS, which can be received and read by the victim at their convenience. We kid, we kid -- KTF's new "Font of Your Own" service isn't actually designed to support anonymous demands for cash as far as we can tell, but will allow any user of the free service to take pictures of 33 characters with their phone to create a custom font for use in messaging. A PC-based font editor app will also be available for those hardcore font connoisseurs looking to create that perfect typeface for their next mobile communique. And no, if you're outside South Korea, you can't have this, so don't even ask.

The rumour mill is off again on the next series 60 Nokia that has been spotted. The N97 supposedly has a 20G hard drive and a 5 mega pixel camera! source The N95 is a fantastic looking handset, a 5 mega pixel camera, WiFi, HSDPA and loads more. I think the N95 would have been a serious consideration against my e61, if it can run Mail for Exchange that is. Engadget have posted pics of what is believed to be the successor to the e61/e62. Engadget seem to think that it looks like they’ve shaved off a mm or two, but I can’t see it myself to be honest.

In fact, the physical changes look very minimal indeed … are we really sure that this is not just an e61/e62 with a modified case??

In case you are wondering why I have so many e61 blog links, it is because I use one for work. I think it’s a fantastic bit of kit and there are lots of other ‘owners’ exploring some of the phone’s functionality - see my links.There are actually four phones in the Nokia E-Series, pictured above, which are the business focused range. They all share common functionality, such as push email, web browsing … etc.

I choose the e61, over the rest of the E-Series, for reasons including superb battery life, fantastic bright display, WLAN (push email made free over my home and work wireless) and direct Microsoft Exchange Sync. Mobile Review did a good job of putting me of the e60, with it’s heating up during calls and general poor battery life.
For anyone considering the phone, I encourage it.
